The NY Giants used their second round pick in the 2008 NFL draft to add more depth to their secondary. They selected Terrell Thomas from Southern California.

Thomas combines very good size and athletic ability for a bigger corner. Quick and agile for his size. Very long arms. He needs to become a more consistent run defender. Thomas has the ability to play cover-2 as well as man-to-man. He is physical with receivers and can press receivers at the line. Thomas has a good feel for zone coverage. He needs to improve his footwork technique. Thomas is instinctive and productive. He is very smart. Diagnoses well. Intense and competitive. Injury issues caused him to slide, including surgeries on both his shoulders and his right knee.

I hear he's more suited to zone than man coverage, though. But he is a big corner and should pair nicely with Ross for the long term.
