Giants Re-Sign Runningback Derrick Ward

Giants re-signed runningback Derrick Ward on Friday.

Giants re-sign veteran RB Ward

They have Jacobs and Bradshaw so i'm not sure if this was really as necessary as improving the Giants secondary but Ward really emerged in 2007 before he broke his leg and it's good to have him which I guess will be a runningback by committee which teams use more than ever nowadays. Only thing is I like the explosive Ahmad Bradshaw a lot though and I see him as the odd man out with Ward being given a new contract.

It's a nice problem to have. If last year was a sign, you need as many guys as possible in case of injury.

I think last year was just a fluke for some teams because running backs were going down like flies! Still out of Ward, Jacobs and Bradshaw Ward is the steadiest, sure handed runner and the guy I would start out of the three. So yes having a problem like that is like having too many aces in your poker hand.
