Wilson, Mitchell, Torbor & Ward are Free Agents

S Gibril Wilson, OLB Kawika Mitchell, OLB Reggie Torbor and RB Derrick Ward are unrestricted free-agents.

The most likely of the four to return may be Mitchell although it would not be a surprise if none returned.

Wilson is looking for a big increase in pay (the Raiders are reportedly willing to offer), Mitchell was not thrilled with the Giants offer, Torbor has some interest from the Dolphins and Ward is looking for a long-term deal.

Well, it didn't take Kawika Mitchell too long. He's gone.

Bills Sign Kawika Mitchell

So much for Mitchell being the most likely to re-sign. So how do the Giants replace him?

I would love to see Mitchell back and Derrick Ward would be nice but i'm wondering if Bradshaw makes him expendable especially with him asking for a lot of $$$.

Well two out of four gone, sadly for us Giants fans I think it's the two we'd most like to have kept but then again that's the exact reason they were sought after so quickly.

Typically, yeah. Look at the guys over the years that have parlayed a Super Bowl into big bucks, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Larry Brown and that Smith kid from Tampa Bay come immediately to mind. Question is, will these guys crash and burn like those two, or will they be successful outside of the Big Apple?
