Strahan again pondering retirement

Now that he has a Super Bowl championship under his belt, 16-year Pro Bowl defensive lineman Michael Strahan is once again pondering retiring from the NFL.

And this time, money isn't as big a factor as it has been in the past, he says.

Strahan Again Pondering Retirement

This is getting as bad at the Brett Favre show.
Will Strahan really do it this year?

I see him trying to hang on until his good buddy Favre retires, so they can enter the Hall of Fame together. Just a gut feeling.

I would hang them up now. He is a rich man. He is a super bowl champ. He is on his way to the HOF. He has personality, so he can still stay around the game by commentating. He doesn't have anything elso to do unless he is just having fun now.

He won't retire, he'll play at least one or two more years.

Re: Strahan again pondering retirement

I saw one report that mentioned his desire to get an increased paycheck. Meaning, he'll only come back if he gets a raise from his $4 million salary.

Will that happen? I don't know. Jerry Reese didn't budge last year.

Cool Re: Strahan again pondering retirement

Brett Favre and Roger Clemens would like to welcome Michael Strahan to the select group of athletes who constantly torture us by talking about their retirement until we want to jump off a building....

He is not so rich anymore lol His ex-wife got half of his money, did't she? That's why I think he'll come back to play at least for one more year and try to ask for a raise!

Hopefully you're right. It's so much fun to watch him play.
