For his first full year Eli Manning did very well. I think hes gonna be just as good as Carson Palmer who had a similair rookie year and if they continue to put players around him as they did with Sinorice Moss theyll have a SuperBowl trip soon. I cant believe WFAN saying how Eli is maybe going to be ok!!! Why do I listen to that station? They (Russo and Francesca) know NOTHING about football and I mean nothing. Manning struggled in the second half yes. A rookie struggling after some defenses make adjustments? Call CNN!!! Oh and his playoff game vs. the Panthers was text book how not to play QB but it actually wasnt really worse than Mr. I Never Throw The Ball Ben Rothisberger's referee assisted SuperBowl performance. Randle El's pass was better than any Big Ben threw all day and hes a WR!!! So Giant fans if you are disappointed in Eli and already think hes a bust do us who think hell actually correct very correctable mistakes a favor...go across the river to the guys in green and watch the other #10 QB suffer his latest injury. Eli Manning is the foundation of greatness and before he hangs it up will be what no other Manning has ever been....a SuperBowl Champion. I guarantee it!!!

Trashed: I have to respectfully disagree with you. I watched every Giant game last year and he has big time accuracy problems. He often threw balls behind or ahead of his receivers on passes thrown in the middle of the field. It's amazing that he didn't get Shockey killed a couple of times. He throws nice long ball but on his timing stuff, he needs to get much better. Carson Palmer is much better than Manning at this point. I think Manning was the beneficiary of a weak schedule and some great receiver play by Plaxico Burress and Shockey. This year the Giants play a first place schedule. There are no more 9 home games, Minnesotas and Arizonas on the schedule this year. Let's see what Manning can do against the likes of Jacksonville this year.

Re: They Who Give Up On Eli Manning Manning looks great at some points and looks terrible at other points. I've seen every single game he's played in the NFL and he has what it takes to excel just as much as his brother. However, he does have a bit of a problem with the accuracy. Many people talk about how he needs to step into his throwing motion (as if you were throwing a baseball) to be 100% accurate. When he doesn't step forward, the ball seems to float away from the intended target. He seemed to turn the corner in his rookie season during the Steeler/Bengal games. They should've defeated the Steelers at that point in the year but just cmae off unlucky. Still, the way they ended the season that year, with Eli audibiling to the game winning play (a pass to Tiki to score the winning TD) was great. Last year he took strides and we expect him to take more strides in his 3rd season. No reason he can't/won't.
