If the team thinks Shockey was the one holding Eli back, then he will be gone fast. The guy that stepped in for him did a good job of filling in for him, too.

lol Lefty...Reese I'm sure is considering the trades of all 53-men on his team. The Boston Globe says they have to decide what to do with Shockey.

Shockey will be making just short of $2 million in 2008 and his agent is Drew Rosenhaus. Obviously he'll try to get more money...and obviously the Giants will have the bargaining power.

No way is Shockey dealt IMO. You have to think he knows what everyone under the sun is saying about him. He'll be as motivated as ever next year.

They did manage to win the Super Bowl without him, and there are questions about his attitude. You're probably right, but I wouldn't be stunned to see him get traded sometime during the offseason and replaced in the draft. John Carlson, anyone?

the complaints were that he was trying to run the huddle. thats the quarterbacks job. teh question is can he be happy if he gets 1 catch in a playoff game? 0 catches and blocks the whole time? is he that much of a team player? kevin boss did a really good job in his absence but shockey may have been humbled by seeing his team win the superbowl without him on teh field. hopefully

Shockey is way injury prone and the whole world saw him his team win a championship with him on the sidelines, hurt as usual. Plus now the questions of his attitude hurting the game of the new media darling Eli Manning are being pondered. Trade him for a draft pick. The Giants can take the hit with money since they are in good shape cap-wise.

A second round pick is pretty high for a player that is injured all tht time.
