Amazing what tabloids will do to create a story. The NY Daily News has on the FRONT AND BACK covers today a story depicting receiver Plaxico Burress as an arrogant and cocky player knocking the Patriots.

Reading the quotes, it couldn't be further from the truth.

The full quotes:

"We have guys that can go out and do things just as well or maybe better than some of those guys."

"That's the way we look at it."

"We had some success throwing the ball against those guys when they came here a few weeks ago."

"Moss is a great player." "Welker is a great addition to what they're doing right now. What they've done as far as setting records and touchdowns and the No. 1 offense in NFL history, those guys are supposed to get a lot of credit. Definitely one of the reasons their offense is the way it is, is because of their receiving corps. I have a lot of respect for those guys. Those guys are great players. They deserve all the praise that they get."

Hunt them down ???? I think it is terribly difficult to find a real journalist among all the "reporters" that will be in AZ during the media week.

I kind of find it best to tune out the football networks and skip the sports page until at least the Saturday before the game. At least online, at sports websites, you can just not click on the stupid links, bypass them for, you know, real news.
