One might say Osi Umenyiora has lit the match. The Giants defensive end officially has kicked off the Super Bowl war of words. Last night on HBO's "Inside the NFL," Umenyiora had some less than flattering words to say about Matt Light [stats], implying the Patriots [team stats] left tackle and Tom Brady [stats]'s chief bodyguard is a dirty player. His comments came one day after he boldly pronounced in a New York Post story, "We can beat that football team." Exhibiting confidence is one thing. Trashing an opposing player is another matter. Umenyiora called Light out for "doing a couple of things that you know he shouldn't have been" when the teams met in the regular-season finale on Dec. 29. -- Boston Herald
