| Giants Name Carson & Lt. Col. Gadson Honorary Captains Great story from Giants.com about the NFC Championship Game. The New York Giants have named NFL Hall of Famer and Giants great Harry Carson and Lt. Col. Greg Gadson honorary team captains. "U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Greg Gadson, who lost both of his legs in May when an IED (improvised explosive device) detonated while he was serving in Iraq. Gadson spoke to the Giants prior to their victory in Washington in September and he attended their Wild Card victory at Tampa Bay two weeks ago." The article is a nice read. Gadson has a special relationship to the team and it's a great respect shown to him by the Giants that they will have him on the field with them on Sunday. Harry Carson, well, nothing needs to be said about his leadership and the respect he brings. Michael Eisen - Story - 1.17 Giants name Honorary Captains - Giants.com |

| Re: Giants Name Carson & Lt. Col. Gadson Honorary Captains Harry Carson was my favorite player growing up. I used to have a 53 jersey. One time I did my best to come home early from school as Harry was going to have a cameo appearance on a soap opera that day! However, whenever the Giants have had one of the Parcells era greats at big games, the team has choked. Hopefully they'll rise to the occasion this time!
