It could happen, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer: "Ex-Jet Jay Fiedler is still mending from shoulder surgery and could be signed by the Giants." What do you think of this potential signing, Giants fans?

There was something in the paper a week or so ago which said something to the effect that the Giants told Fiedler's agent to talk to them after he's recovered and before he makes a decision on a team.

They'd want to bring him in to compete with Tim Hasselbeck for the back-up job. Competition is great...I'm all for it.

Fiedler, healthy, would be a definite upgrade from Hasselbeck, don't you think?

Fielder had starting-quarterback experience. Plus, he is actually a nice guy.

To add to Marc's point, Fiedler is well liked in the NYC community. He runs an annual football camp for the local high school players. When he signed with the Jets, everyone was wishing him well. Sad to see how his season turned out (and the rest of the team for that matter).
