Re: Eli Manning Throws 4 TD Passes

He had a bad day.

Sucks? Going into today he was 9th in the NFL in TDs, 13th in yards and 10th in completions.

The Giants offense is still not that killer offense that goes out there and throws/runs for 25+ points game. Why? Who the hell knows.

Re: Eli Manning Throws 4 TD Passes

Kareem McKenzie left the game on a cart in the 3rd I think. Hopefully he's alright.

Eli has these spurts where he's out of synch. Then he'll go and have a nice drive. He just needs to be more consistant. It would also help if the receivers caught the ball (saw a few drops today). Hopefully one or both of the injured backs return next week.

Empire Eli may not suck but is average at best. He's had these games before. He's very inconsistent and don't say he's young and learning because he's had 4 seasons to develop and this is the best is and the best he will be. He has Burress, Shockey, a good runnning game and O-Line. He has the tools but Eli Manning can only make of them what his talent will allow and that's like I said average. You can twist stats around to make him 9th in the league of whatever category but if you watch the games you see that he's good one week, bad the next which is typical of an average QB. Besides 9th in the NFL which has like 6 good quarterbacks right now isn't really all that great. I mean if you had a chance right now between him and inexperienced Jay Cutler who would you pick? The best thing about Manning is he's not injury prone. I'm a Giants fan too but i'm also a realist. And Simon your avatar was classic! Why change it to a clown? And Lefty told me no moving avatars anyway!!! No fair!!!

Re: Eli Manning Throws 4 TD Passes

I saw the game. It wasnt all Eli's fault. He had some help. From both sides of the ball.
Having said that, he really doesnt need any help along that line.

I agree he's been inconsistent, but my point is, it's not just him. The entire offense has been inconsistent throughout Coughlin's tenure. They have the talent but they can never execute on a week to week basis.

Where we differ though, I still think we haven't seen the best of Eli Manning. He still will improve.

That is some funny stuff there!

And Eli doesn't suck. It takes a team to lose. I don't think he will ever be a stud QB, but he is better than a lot of em!

I don't think so. Peyton did start all 16 games of his rookie season (Eli did 9 games) but he still has better numbers. Eli's completion percentage needs to improve.

I mean he's not young and learning anymore now he either knows how to play the quarterback postion well or he doesn't. I mean he's 26 and played for 4 years!!! If Eli is going to improve than using that logic Romo is young so Romo will improve to be the greatest quarterback of all times. 26 going on 27 isn't young when you've been playing for 4 years. Eli is mediocre, accept it.
