At this point Empire? But you say it like he's in Kellen Clemens' situation. Eli has been playing for 4 years and is 26, his time is now. What forms of improvement do you see coming his way? Eli has been consistent for 4 years and will continue to be that way. He's not terrible, I mean he's better than Alex Smith but Eli is mediocre, no I don't expect him to be Peyton but I expect him to do the things Ben Roethisberger is doing in Pittsburgh. I think that's reasonable and fans would be happy with that but it aint gonna happen. He's as good as Rivers and Losman. Ben was the class of 2004 and the Steelers got him. Accept it. I have.

Re: NY Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings

I just think it takes a bit longer than three and a quarter NFL seasons to determine a career.

Re: NY Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings

But in those three and a quarter seasons he's been so consistent in the game he plays so I do think this is his career. But I again I ask...where do you see this improvement coming from? He has good recievers, line, runninggame and he's 26 now. What more does Eli need?

Re: NY Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings

It's not like his receivers were lighting it up yesterday. They dropped some balls. Plus the run game was hardly effective.

He still can make throws that few can make. That's where I see he has room to improve.

Well I think we have to agree to disagree with this Empire. I just don't think he's gonna improve because he makes a few nice throws amongs a myriad of bad ones but hey, i'm a Giants fan and really hope i'm wrong and you're right for the record! Only time will tell.

I agree Tiny Tom. He's a bust from this sense: The Giants gave up a ton of picks for him. One pick they gave up was Seane Merriman. So at the end of the day -being "so-so" doesn't cut it.

The scary part is that he doesn't appear to be getting any better. He plays the same as he did 2 years ago.
