NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

The big game this week is in the NFC East as the (6-2) New York Giants play the (7-1) Dallas Cowboys at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford.

The Giants are on a six game winning streak and have looked great for all of it. The question asked is whether they can sustain that quality against superior teams. They defeated the Redskins, Eagles, Jets, Falcons, Niners and Dolphins. Well, we'll find out this weekend.

The Cowboys are on a two game win streak and have everyone talking Super Bowl. Tony Romo recently signed a big money extension. The least amount of points scored by the Cowboys this year is 24. Wow.

They met Week 1 in Big D and it was a close game until the Cowboys pulled away late. If the Cowboys win this week, they pretty much can run away with the NFC East. However, if the Giants win, there's a tie for first.

Any predictions?

I think it's going to be a close one, dependent upon one thing - which Eli Manning shows up.

This one is easy. Cowboys win.
We are having our granddaughter's first birthday party Sunday so it is going to be difficult for me to watch as the Cowboys sail to victory

I have a strong feeling that NY wins this one. I may be wrong, but I think the last time NY didn't have Strahan or Umenyiora. They will chase Romo all over the field. It won't matter which Eli shows up.

Re: NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

I love the blitz scheme the Giants run (way better than the cover 2), I think that pressure will get to Romo. On the other hand I think Dallas will get to Eli as well. It will be a defensive game. With the Giants winning at home 20-14

Ah yes the game of the week to be sure! I'm going with my beloved Giants at home to beat the Cowboys. Jacobs/Droughns will run all over them, Eli will toss a few TDs and the most dangerous defensive line in the NFL will stifle the Cowboy offense sending Tony Romo crying back to the arms of Carrie Underwood!

I beg to differ here. Giants are rated 7th in defense in the NFL but 1st in NFC east. Cowboys are rated 8th in defense according to SI (someone is going to ask where I got my stats from) and 2nd in the East.

Giants are 15th in NFL offense, 3rd in the East, Cowboys are 2nd in NFL offense and 1st in the east.

Looks like Cowboys have the edge and Eli will be running home to Daddy and Big Brother

Tom you'll soon learn that Bette is a real hard core Cowboy's fan. Real shame since she lives in Packer land. You'd think she could support her local team. Never the less ...... don't cross her. She can be a little vindictive.

Re: NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

Giants are playing for a wild card spot the rest of the season, cause Dallas is taking home the Divisional title. Boys 34-Giants 21.

Osi, Kiwanuka, Strahan and Tuck sack Romo till he doesn't know which way is forward or backwards!! And Plax backs up his comments that Roy Williams is a 250lb ankle tackler!! Giants 28 - Cowboys 16

Before Osi and co. can sack Romo, they have to get thru one of the biggest O-lines in the league. And since Tony can scramble faster than the Blue D can blink, by the time they get thru Tony's pass will have long since been gone.
3 of Dallas D key defense returns this week. They didnt have them the first week either. Lil Eli will be quite rattled.
And Plax's mouth is as wide as he is tall. One of these days , his not practicing is going to show up big time. That day will be Sunday.
Cowboys 31-Giants 14
