Your thoughts on the 2007 Draft picks

Hi guys,

I was wondering what people think of the draft picks made in 2007. Now we're a few weeks in to the season, I thought it would be nice for an early review.

(1) What did you think were the requirements before the draft?
(2) Straight after the draft did you feel those requirements had been met?
(3) How do you rate each of the picks now the season has started?
(4) If you could turn back time, are there any players that could have been picked (i.e were available when it was NYG's turn to pick), and didn't, that you think would actually have been better for the team?

Looking forward to reading what you think.

Oz

Although it's probably a bit early to do this....

going into the draft the Giants had to do major work with their defense. Aaron Ross was the best corner available at the time and so far, he's looked pretty good out there.

2nd round pick Steve Smith was a good pick I felt, but the kid has been injured. Sadly, it looks like his early career mirrors Sinorice Moss' who has been injured in his NFL career.

4th round pick Zak DeOssie was a great selection. He's the kind of guy every team loves to have. Hard nosed, hustles and knows the game. He's a great guy on special teams (he long snaps and covers on kick offs) and if need be, I wouldn't feel worried if he found his way into a LB spot during a game.

Also, 7th round pick Ahamad Bradshaw (running back) has shown some talent in the few times he's played this year. He's a return man usually.

I like what Ross has done for us defensively,Smith i think will get better for us down the road,Zak was a steal for us and has done very well for us on ST and Bradshaw has done some good for us as a return guy and will get better in due time.

It would be nice to see what the kid from USC will do...USC receivers can go both ways sometimes...for every Lynn Swan, there is a Mike Williams...
