The Giants surprised many today when word got out that they waived wide receiver Anthony Mix and signed wide receiver &return man Domenik Hixon (who was waived yesterday by the Broncos).
Mix is a 6'5 receiver who has looked pretty good in the small amount of playing time he's had in pre-season and through week four.
Mike Garafolo believes it's a case of who can be more valuable to the team. Mix is strictly a receiver (who rarely gets playing time unless Plaxico sits out a play) while Hixon is a returner who should challenge for that role.
