Brandon Jacobs has been practicing this week and is finally healthy and ready to return to the line-up. The problem of course (although it's a GREAT problem to have) is the performance of Derrick Ward. Ward has been a terrific player for the Giants since Jacobs was injured on opening night in Dallas.
Now that Jacobs will be back, the question is how will the coaches distribute the carries and plays between the two backs. Ward has shown the ability to catch out of the backfield and has averaged 4.8 yards per carry. Jacobs of course will likely start and continue his powerful running and quick cuts.
The Jets run defense should be put to the test this week for sure.
