NY Giants vs. NY Jets

The once every four-year game is set for this Sunday afternoon when the Giants and Jets play each other. The Giants are the home team. The last time these two teams played, it was 2003 and the Giants won (they didn't win another game that year).

The Giants are coming off a big dominating win over the Eagles in which the team tied a record in sacks. Osi Umenyiora completely owned Winston Justice for six sacks. The Jets offensive line has struggled recently so Chad Pennington may be spending a lot of time running.

The Jets are a frustrating 1-3 after losing to the Buffalo Bills a week ago. Certainly if momentum has any role, the Giants should be able to win.

Brandon Jacobs is expected to play for the first time since week one. How the carries are divided between Jacobs and Derrick Ward is something to look out for.

Re: NY Giants vs. NY Jets

Osi Umenyiora did not practice for two straight days due to a sore knee. He'll be a game-time decision (he's questionable).

Brandon Jacobs returns....Jacobs & Ward should be quite the tandem.

Re: NY Giants vs. NY Jets

The Giants won, 35-24 with the help of a defense and great run game. Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward combined for about 180 yards rushing. Rookie corner Aaron Ross (who spent the first half on the bench due to a team infraction) picked off Chad Pennington twice.

The Giants have no won their last three games and play monday night against Atlanta.

Re: NY Giants vs. NY Jets

Plaxico is one heck of a receiver. He didn't have a single catch in the first half. Comes out in the 2nd and gets a couple of big receptions including a TD.

Listening on the post-game show (local radio), one of the coaches mentioned how even though Plaxico doesn't practice (due to a bum ankle), he still helps out. He tutors Sinorice Moss on route running and stuff like that.
