This is just insane. The Giants haven't had a real great defense in years. Their secondary has ALWAYS been a problem for the past 5 years. Who's to blame? Jim Fassel and Tom Coughlin are both offensive coaches. They've had some bad coordinators (Johnnie Lynn and that awful prevent defense....all the time), some good ones (John Fox...too bad they let him go to Carolina) and some decent (Tim Lewis...did the best he could).

However, I'm blaming Ernie Accorsi, the former Giants GM. He's drafted corners and lineman like they were going out of style. Will Allen, Will Peterson, Cedric Scott, Rod Babers, William Joseph, Osi Umenyiora, Corey Webster, Justin Tuck, Mathias Kiwanuka, Aaron Ross and Gibril Wilson.

Sure guys like Kiwanuka, Ross, Wilson, Webster, Tuck are still rather young (range from rookie to three years NFL experience) but where's a real PLAYMAKER?

Ernie Accorsi did such a bad job in acquiring good defensive players, it should be no surprise to this day the Giants defense is horrible. They can't stop anybody and for the first time in a few years, actually can't get a pass rush.

It's only two games into the season but I hope new Giants GM Jerry Reese will be the antithesis of Accorsi in acquiring great defensive talents.

For Coughlin's sake, too bad he won't be around to see them.

They might win three games, but for the life of me at this time I don't knoe how. And how long are people going to consider Shockey an elite player?
He is an absolute joke.

Woah now, what's your beef with Shockey? He's not suppose to rush the QB or stop the opposition from a first down.

Mix in a catch every now and then. He dropped a pass at the one today that changed the entire complexion of the game.

Not only is their defense putrid but so is their whole team. Again, Manning was inaccurate and overthrew an easy TD pass in the 2nd quarter. Plus, I think they've already quit on Coughlin.

That was one pass man. How about the TD pass to Plaxico in all that traffic?

Manning has improved in two games already. Only if they could score 6 in the endzone. They're having those redzone problems again this year.
