Chris Mortenson reported on ESPN that Eli Manning has a seperated shoulder and will be out atleast a month..Although the Giants Website has him listed as day to day..Mortenson says hes confident in his report..either way not good news for Giants fans..

If he's out a month...the Giants offense will probably be dumbed down (for lack of a better word). Jared Lorenzen is the back-up and needless to say, he's never started a game in his career.

With starting QB and RB out for nearly a month, here's hoping the back-ups can do something.

big blow...and will it effect Plaxico as well?...can jared get him the ball?...all we know is the big QB won't dive for a first down...

Well, contrary to Mortensen's report, the team is listing Eli as day-to-day with a contusion of the right A-C joint.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin says he hopes Eli even feels good enough to throw in practice today while questioning where ESPN got their information. "I don't know where that report comes from," he told the Associated Press. "I don't know where supposedly the information was found. This afternoon we got the report from our doctors that, after having done the MRI and done all the testing, we are just going to have to see how it is."

If Eli only misses a game, things won't be so bad. The Giants run game was good even after Jacobs left injured. It would be a matter of how the Packers change their defense (if at all) to fool/toy with the debuting Jared Lorenzen.
