The New York Giants players secretly voted for five team captains. Two from offense, two from defense and one from special teams.

C Shaun O'Hara, QB Eli Manning, MLB Antonio Pierce, DE Michael Strahan and P Jeff Feagles were voted as the team captains.

"To be voted in is an accomplishment for Strahan, especially missing all of camp and everybody thought we'd turn our backs on him. It tells you how tight this team is" said Antonio Pierce.

Yeah, I agree... but then, the players were the ones who voted the captains, so, I don't know?

I guess most of them are behind Strahan, whether he was there during the preseason or not. Seems odd to me, though.

yea I mean they voted him in so thats fine, but I dont think he should be eligable to be voted in to begin with, getting rewarded for sitting out all pre-season when your teamates have been busting their butt in hot weather..

just my thoughts..

Yeah, I understand. I guess all I'm saying is, if those teammates don't have a problem with it, then neither should we.
