If you ask MLB Antonio Pierce about the Giants' team chemistry, he paints a great picture.

"In my three years of being here, this is the best team chemistry we've had coming out of camp and just the whole spring," the starting middle linebacker said. "Everything we do is team-oriented."


"We're doing things on and off the field we haven't done. That's what's key," Pierce said. "You have to know the guy next to you better than anybody else. It's more together and you can just sense it. Guys talk to each other. The offensive players talk to the defensive players and vice versa.

"Before that, it was kind of segregated."

Pierce said the player who wasn't here for all of camp -- defensive end Michael Strahan -- got a "nice surprise" from his teammates. Pierce wouldn't say what it was, but he suggested it was a playful jab at Strahan, whom the players dubbed "The Fugitive" when he arrived earlier this week with a beard.

It's all in the name of team-building for Pierce.

"It brings us closer together," he said.

I wonder how that chemistry is now with Strahan coming back finally after holding out for so long.

under what logic, people on this team are standing up for eachother, and ignoring the idiots. This team has an easier schedule this year and will end up with a better record

Under the logic that the second Strahan walked back in that locker room any chance of a cohesive team went out the window. He will be a derisive force, just like he has been in the past.
