In the book, titled Tiki: My Life in the Game and Beyond (which is somewhat similar to the title we had expected -- Tiki: My Me My I Me I Me My), Barber continues his verbal assault on coach Tom Coughlin.

Most surprisingly, Tiki seems to imply that he might have changed his mind about retiring if Coughlin had been fired after the 2006 season: "If Tom Coughlin had not remained as head coach of the Giants," Tiki writes, "I might still be in a Giants uniform."

Barber also says that "[Coughlin] robbed me of what had been one of the most important things I had in my life, which was the joy I felt playing football. I had lost that. He had taken it away."

Firstly, if it wasn't for Tom Coughlin, Tiki Barber would NOT have been one of the best players in the game the past few years. Period.

Secondly, no Giants fan (or football fan for that matter) should give a rats youknowwhat about what Tiki writes in his book. If he felt that way, should've said it before he tried to make money off it.

Tiki, PLEASE shut up and try talking about something besides the Giants. Jeez..

Quoted for truth. How quickly Tiki forgets that he was a bum with a bad case of fumble-itis before Coughlin came along and tought him how to hold a damn football. Nice way to stick a knife in the back of the guy most responsible for turning you into a borderline Hall of Fame prospect, there, Barber. Class act all the way.

We get it Tiki that not a lot of players like Coughlin, but if more had actually gotten on the same page as him perhaps you could have left football with something that you now have to visit your brother to see, a Super Bowl ring.

I have lost a lot of respect for this guy. Coughlin made him a great running back. He used to talk about how much help Coughlin was in teaching him not to lose the darn ball.

The back even stated in the book that the Giants underpaid him about $10 million. On a positive note, he did say that Coughlin stopped the back from fumbling, which was a huge problem for him in the early part of his career. “It’s a double-edged sword, because as much as Coach Coughlin helped me, I also helped Tom Coughlin,” Barber wrote.
