| Strahan No Shows Giants Camp UPDATE: Michael Strahan has not reported to Giants training camp today. Officially, I assume he's a holdout. There's a story being passed around by his agent that Strahan is contemplating retirement. Most don't believe that and think Strahan simply wants a new contract (ie..More Money). Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News say's Strahan is unhappy with the "lack of activity" in free-agency for the G-Men. Strahan called for Tom Coughlin last night via phone but was unable to reach him. Coughlin got the message this morning and tried to reach Strahan but has been unsuccessful. So as of now, Michael Strahan is a holdout. The NJ Ledger's Mike Garafolo via his blog says whether or not Michael Strahan reports to Giants camp (at 1pm this afternoon is the deadline) won't be known until the morning. Strahan may be unhappy with his contract but will he make the bold move of not showing up? Garafolo cites a source as saying Strahan has thought about holding out for a contract similar to the one the Colts gave to Dwight Freeney. Of course, the Giants have no intentions of redoing his contract. If he does not show up, he will be fined $14,000 a day until he does. A story to follow.
