Re: NFL - 2006 Giants Schedule

C'mon man, everyone knows you can't predict which teams will be good at this time of the year. And ever since I predicted the 2004 Giants to go the playoffs...only to go 4-12 due to injuries and lack of push from Fassel, I refuse to predict schedules like this.

But having 4 road games before you have your 3rd home game is a bit choking.

However, I do dislike the fact that the Giants have 2 MNF games. In recent years (safe for last year's odd Saints game), they never do well.

I can predict but I can also be wrong. Those first 6 games are absolutely brutal.

Re: NFL - 2006 Giants Schedule

Nothing quite like opening with a tough offense in the Colts, then playing two division rivals and the defending NFC Champions over the next four weeks, THEN having to come up with a defensive gameplan for Michael Vick and Terrell Owens in successive weeks. That is most definitely a tough stretch.

Looking at the schedule in Qtrs (four groups of four), the first two are seriously tough, no doubt about it.

Adversity builds character...

That schedule makes want to start weeping and never stop. Eli better not continue his 05 second half swan dive or these teams will eat him alive! Still I cant wait to see Colts/Giants to show that Eli is better! Dont flame me for that!

Eli, better than Peyton? Bartender, I'll have what he's having!

Seriously, though, what is it about the younger Manning that makes you think he's a better NFL QB than big brother? Or is that just your Big Blue colors shining through, Bishop?

Well Peyton will have better stats but he cant handle 1% of adversity. Now I know what youre saying "And Eli Can?" Well he hasnt proved it yet but with the first half of his 05 season and Plax refusing to get open (see Carolina Panthers playoff debacle) I can cut him some slack which for some reason no one else will. It was his first full year as starter for gods sake and he tossed 24 tds and 17 ints...when Brett Favre was having similair stats early in his career they had him in Canton already!!! I actually see Eli as the next Troy Aikman. A big game QB who reads defenses well. Id rather have a SuperBowl ring than the single season TD record anyday.

That's a bold prediction... it'll be fun to see whether or not you're right!

First off: Welcome to GoTeamsGo Bishop. I like your signature. Eli like Troy Aikman? Aikman was one of the most accurate throwers in NFL history. Eli although very young in his career has major accuracy problems. I don't see the connection at all. Just my opinion.

Fun is what it's all about mi amigo! Don't ever let it get to the point where sports ISN'T fun anymore. Even if ya gotta switch teams. Hey it's the frontrunner generation...enjoy it!
