| Dominic Rhodes to Visit Giants; Left Tackle News Rhodes, an unrestricted free agent running back, will visit with the Giants as soon as today. He's expected to be one of the backs the Giants will target this off-season (other possibilities include trading for Willis McGahee or Thomas Jones, or other free-agents Ahman Green or Musa Smith).
Not the great LT, but the position. It's been reported by newspapers that the decision to cut Pettigout was all Jerry Reese's idea. Coughlin would have preferred he stay. The back-up plan is for David Diehl to start there but they will look to sign a veteran LT in free-agency. Names such as Leonard Davis, Eric Steinbach are available. Reese is said to be high on Guy Whimper, a young LT, drafted a couple of seasons ago (in the mid-rounds if I remember correctly). |
