The Star Ledger reports Antonio Pierce has had some discussions with one of his best friends, Chicago Bears OLB Lance Briggs. They center around Briggs giving the Giants a chance to sign him if the Bears offer fails to reach expectations after the season ends.
Briggs will be an unrestricted free-agent. However, the Bears could sign him or place the franchise tag on him to keep him. Briggs has been to two consecutive Pro Bowls in the past two years.
Last year, LaVar Arrington was recruited by Pierce and ended up signing with the Giants.
