| Giants Assistnat Coaching Search While Tom Coughlin is still the head coach and Kevin Gilbride has been promoted to offensive coordinator some rather big spots still remain open. It's rumored that special teams coach Mike Sweatman may retire. As for the currently two biggest vacancies on the staff, QB Coach and Defensive Coordinator, the search is on. Rumored names for possible QB Coach include Jason Garrett (former player, he's on the Dolphins staff right now), Alex Van Pelt (on the Bills staff) and who Giants fans hope may come, current University of Tennessee offensive coordinator David Cutliffe. Cutliffe was Manning's coach at Ole Miss. For Defensive Coordinator, the names rumored include Jerry Gray (on the Redskins staff) and Jim Mora (recently fired from Atlanta). I expect some news on these positions over the next couple of weeks. |

| Re: Giants Assistnat Coaching Search Cutcliffe would be a great hire... but would he take the job? Thought he had his eye on a head coaching position in the near future. And is Garrett still with the Fins? Thought I heard rumblings in the Bama forum that he was going to follow Saban there.
