Giants Free Agents

So which NY Giants players are currently free-agents?

Unrestricted
------------
Will Allen, cb
Tim Carter, wr
Kendrick Clancy, dt
Nick Greisen, lb
Tim Hasselbeck, qb
Chad Morton, rb
Bob Whitfield, t
Shaun Williams, s

Restricted
----------
Kenderick Allen, dt
Willie Ponder, wr
Visanthe Shiancoe, te
David Tyree, wr
Frank Walker, cb

They're already preparing to lose both Allen and Greisen. I think they've either signed or are close to signing Clancy, and they want Hasselbeck back. So who else stays and who else goes?

Re: Giants Free Agents

Well, they've resigned Carter and Tyree. They also picked up a WR by the name of Harry Williams, who was waived by the Packers earlier this month. And what's the deal with Tyree's contract. The guy's primarily a special teamer but he's now earning "No. 3 receiver money" according to his agent. Is this REALLY the best use of the team's cap room?

Re: Giants Free Agents

Will Allen signed a contract with another team, forgot who. So he's gone.

Tyree is our special teams MVP. He's just always around the football, it's amazing. He's making the big tackle, or keeping the ball inside the 5-yard line and whatnot. Plus, he can catch the ball. Remember Eli Manning's first NFL victory against the Cowboys? Tyree was his big receiver.

I have no problem with the big contract they gave him. He deserves it.
