Jimmy, I hear the Giants and Dolphins will play a regular season game in London at the Wembley Stadium (the new one).

Can't say I'm too thrilled about this from a standpoint that the team will have to travel overseas. I hope the schedule makers do it so the Giants have a bye week before or after this game.

How is the NFL perceived across the Atlantic?

I agree, you would think all that travel would have a huge negative effect on their preparations leading upto and after the game. Not sure how they work around that one. Surely it gives an advantage to the team they play the following week?

With regards to the NFL over here. It has a smallish but solid fan base. Of course alot of people dont appreciate the NFL and how it operates, for example, questions I've been asked about the sport are -

why does the game keep stopping?
why do they wear all that padding?
how come Rugby players dont wear padding then? blah blah blah

Most questions come from ignorance and not really wanting a true and accurate answer. I believe football over here is like soccer over your side, with regards that it will probably never challenge the top sports, but i suppose you never know.
