The Dallas loss earlier today guarantees a Giants/Eagles match up in the wild card round next weekend. The only question is if it will be on Saturday or Sunday. I can see it being Sunday if the NFL wants the Cowboy game in prime time.

In any event, I love divisional foe playoff games. If memory serves correct the last time they played each other in the playoffs was 2000 when the Giants went to the Super Bowl.

From the NY Post, Coughlin talks about whether they'll use the underdog theme this week: "I don't know if it will be any kind of psychological advantage to take any approach along those lines," Coughlin said. "We've already jumped over the hurdle about being here and I think that's the important thing. Underdogs, whatever, we'll draw strength from anything we can."

And Shockey may not play, he's still banged up. Unless Tiki runs for over 200 yards again, it doesn't look good.

I dont see the Giants getting a favourable result at Philly this Sunday. Giants D really has been porus this season against the pass and are now softening against the run over the last couple of games. If the D cannot slow down Philly enough on Sunday, and I doubt they will, then Tiki and the Giants run game, which has been the Giants one strength this season, will become an afterthought in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

This could be bad news for Eli, who isnt playing with the greatest of composure this season.

Jeremy Shockey practiced today and is still questionable for Sunday.

Rich Seubert practiced for the second day in a row and is also questionable.

Updated Giants injury list.

-Rich Seubert upgraded to probable.
-CB Kevin Dockery, questionable with an ankle injury. If he can't play, Frank Walker will play the nickle (uh oh).
-As for Shockey, everyone expects him to start but the coaching staff hasn't confirmed that he will. Look for it to be a gametime decision and it will have to be pretty bad for him to miss the game.

For me, Shockey is one of the premier TE in the league. I believe he's the fastest TE to reach 300 rec, or at least fastest among active players. Shockey playing at near 100% is key if the Giants are to make any in roads against the Eagles D.

I'm glad Coughlin's band of bickering losers lost. My controversial cousin is furious as usual at yet another Giant loss but hey, they suck in my opinion plain and simple. If a team ever deserved a loss it was the 2006 Giants. Unfortunately the Jets lost so it's time to keep an eye towards baseball as well as the rest of the playoffs. I'm rooting for the Colts now to win it all.
