The Giants placed KR/RB Derrick Ward on injured reserve today after he fractured a bone in his right foot for the second time this season. Ward has been the kick-returner for the Giants as of late and has been anything but effective. I hardly wished injury upon the guy though.

Taking his place on the roster will be RB James Sims who has spent the year on the Giants practice squad. He was signed as a rookie free agent out of the University of Washington. I doubt he'll see any serious playing time.

As for kick returner, I presume Chad Morton or Michael Jennings will get the duties.

This injury should have no impact on the game at all. I didn't even know who this guy was.

Well, he was the kick return guy. I'm sure that has some impact on the game.

I guess they'll just have McQuarters running back kicks. Not a biggie in my view.
