| GIANT Props in Carolina Win Just wanted to give out some props to a few Giants who really played well earlier today in a 27-13 victory in Carolina.
First off, Eli Manning. He only completed 51% of his passes but he was perfect with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He got Plaxico involved and all three TDs were to different receivers: Burress, Shockey and Tyree.
Tiki Barber didn't have a dominating game but he did rush 20 times for 112 yards while Brandon Jacobs had a bad day while being stopped on third and short a few times.
Jay Feely who was bothered by an injury all week long was ready to start. With whats being called a broken bone on the bottom of his foot, he was still perfect on the day. He nailed a 29 and 32-yarder and his kickoffs were pretty strong too.
On defense, against Chris Weinke, the defense played well. They shut down Steve Smith (who murdered them in the playoff game back in January) to the tune of five catches and just over 60 yards. The Panthers only had about 45 rushing yards.
Gibril Wilson had two interceptions, his first on the year. Kevin Dockery played well including his own interception.
By the way, Umenyiora only left the game in the second half due to cramps. He's fine.
Next week is a big-time divisional game at home against the Eagles. Both teams are now 7-6 and looking for the upperhand when it comes to wild-card playoff tiebreakers. |
