NY Giants Choke Again, Blow 21-Pt. Lead

I would like to be at a loss for words but I'm not. The Giants were looking like kings as late as the third quarter against the Tennessee Titans. Then Vince Young woke up. Then the Giants fell asleep. Plaxico Burress gives up on a pass and half-asses his attempt to take down Pac Man Jones. Frank Walker while out of bounds feels the need to lay a hit on Vince Young. The problem was it was a third and long and Young didn't get enough yards...but the penalty kept their drive going and led to their first score of the game.

Later on, Mathias Kiwanuka has Young all in his grasp for a sack, lets go and turns around. He must've thought Young threw the ball away but he didn't. Young ran for a chunk of yardage and led the Titans...again, for another score.

Eventually the Titans tie it up. The Giants have the ball and what does Eli Manning do when the game is ready to go to OT? He throws a deep ball to nobody in particular and Pac Man gets his second pick of the game. Young leads them down the field and sets up a game winning 40something field goal.

The Giants right now are a mess. It's the San Francisco 2002 playoff game all over again. It's the 2005 mess in Seattle repeated (safe for the three missed field goals). Except right now, the Giants are on a three game losing streak, a full game behind the Cowboys. Next week the Giants come home to the Meadowlands to play the division leading Cowboys in what could shape up to be THE game to decide the NFC East when it's all said and done.

The Giants are in need of a dominating performance all over again. They had one for three quarters earlier tonight...but their own stupid mental mistakes and Vince Young ruined it.

But besides, big props to Vince Young who looked like he was playing in the Rose Bowl all over again. Tennessee has got themselves a bright future.

Trashed...we all await your (probably...hell, expected) harsher rant.

Re: NY Giants Choke Again, Blow 21-Pt. Lead

you guys played a hell of a game and i give your players major props where deserved because you had some guys who played well...jacobs being one of them, but someone has to sit Burress down and have a word with him, i watched tonights game and last weeks game and ive seen him make some monster catches all season but when you see a guy, kinda nudge a player after hes picked him off right infront of him you start to get pissed off, i no i would, i mean in tonights game all he needed to do was give Pacman a good push and he would have been out of bounds deep in our (Titans) half, but instead he makes a half assed attempt to tackle him.

anyway, seriously great game guys, this is what football is really all about, games like this
