Tiki Barber Frustrated with Play Calling

Yesterday, Tiki Barber spoke to the media about the fact the Giants seemed to abandon the run on Monday Night in Jacksonville. He "lashed" out against the play calling and criticized them only giving him 10 rushes.

Of course, in those 10 carries, he only had 27 yards. He also dropped a couple of passes.

"Barber had not spoken with either coach Tom Coughlin or offensive coordinator John Hufnagel by noon Wednesday, but he relayed his concerns to running backs coach Jerald Ingram. He expected his message to be passed along."

This really comes off bad. Barber in the past two years has been way too loud in criticism against the coaching staff. Meanwhile, they're not going anywhere and he's packing his bags at the seasons end. Of course Eli Manning could show some leadership and corrale his offensive weapons and unite them in the sudden pitfall the team finds themselves in.

Hopefully this was just frustration and Tiki's way to blow off steam. But some way...huh.

I don't know if this is a randon incident. It seems like the Giants are always in the news with criticism of the coaching. If it was just Barber, you could dismiss it as frustration. When you add Shockey and the rest, you have to think there may be something deeper. If they are waiting for Manning to step in to calm things down, they may as well pack up the season. He is showing no leadership on the field, why would anybody think he can do it in thelocker room.

Never was a big Coughlin fan, it would appear that his coaching technique (or lack there of) is sucking the life out of this team. I can't remember any other coach ever being so openly critisized be their players.

Well I think when the players criticize the play calling, they're showing their dissatisfaction with the offensive coordinator who calls the plays. John Hufnagel.

I don't know. Everything I've read and heard seems to imply they are reffering to Coughlin, but all you have to do is look back at a few of my other threads to know that I have been wrong before.
