| Man Oh Manning! I'm about ready to give up on this kid, as he seems about ready to give up on himself. He just looks lost out there, and he is not exactly inspiring confidence. I used to think Shockey was a dope, but he is the only guy on this team with a pulse, everyone else seems to be just going through the motions, and this on a first place team. Things don't get any easier, as I thought at one time thier offense would carry them over this part of the schedule, but now have to wonder if they can even handle the Tennessees of the world.

| Re: Man Oh Manning! Because he looks ready to give up on himself. He is not making progress from week to week and year to year.It is always two steps forward, three steps back with this guy. Do you feel he is any better now than he was at this point last year, because I sure don't. |

| Re: Man Oh Manning! they call the kid easy e, but he is never calm, he is a depressed kid who needs anti-depressents. He gives up way to earlier. Legend, shockey has always been my favorite. Ive called him a couple times on here a spark plug. People might not like his personality, i can see how it can rub people the wrong way, but you gotta admit when you give him the ball early he ignites this offense. But i also think eli "joey harrington" manning is a bust. He is great the first half of the season but the last 8 games this man is worst then anyone i know. I quit rooting this kid on. Id rather see the freak show pillsberry throw boy

| Re: Man Oh Manning! Boy people around these parts sure hate Eli. I don't know why. The kid has some bad games. I refuse to say he's a bust because of that. When he was one of the best in the NFC earlier in the year, everyone was riding high. |

In games 1-8 of the season: 17 games, 85.5 Rating, 56.1%, 3728 yards, 29 TD, 14 INT In games 9-16 of the season: 17 games, 60.6 Rating, 51.1%, 3279 yards, 17 TD, 25 INT Hopefully a game against a poor Tennessee defense is just what the doctor ordered. |

| Re: Man Oh Manning! As embarassed as they probably felt at the time, the Chargers have to feel pretty good now. Manning refused to play for them and they took Rivers instead. Rivers is playing great and Manning is looking like the next Tim Couch. |

| Re: Man Oh Manning! I actually heard that the trade wound up being Manning to New York for Rivers and Shawne Merriman. Now, even if Eli and Rivers wind up being equals someday, you've still got NY giving up the pick that became Merriman. Ouch. |

| Re: Man Oh Manning! To Ernie Accorsi's credit, the Chargers originally wanted the 2 First Round picks AND DE Osi Umenyiora. Accorsi said no and they worked it out with just draft picks. I love how people claim Rivers is great and he's only been a starter for what? 10 games? Why not wait until his 3rd season on the field until you annoint him the next Dan Marino? And for those of you who want to label Eli Manning a bust just after two seasons of play. He has improved his completion percentage each season he's played. He has the most TDs in a single season (last year, 24) for a Giant QB since Frank Tarkenton in 1967 (when he threw 29 TDs). Also, in 2005, he was 2nd best in the NFC in passing yards. Hardly a description of one Ryan Leaf if you know what I mean. |
