Damn you are on some heavy sh** daddy-o!! Eli led him to that division title yet he fell toward the latter portion of the year?? Which is it?? It was Tiki Barber and timely defense that led them to that NFC East title! Oh and how pleasant was it today as Eli could have saved the game if had the accuracy of Stevie Wonder!!! He has a great arm? Where in storage somewhere on ice??? This is the Billy Ripken of football and this team would have been much better off with Rivers and the picks. Or am I wrong in that? Is Eli just playing like crap to lull his opponents into a false sense of security so he can whip out that arm strength your posting about?

Re: Man Oh Manning!

Manning just made a mistake. I forgot who, may have been Phil Simms, who said it's possible he's still getting tired in the second half of the NFL season. According to Simms, young QBs tend to tire out their arms through the long season.

Manning's arm looked fine when he stuck it through a bunch of defenders to Shockey earlier in the game.

Re: Man Oh Manning!

Manning sucks. The only flashes of promise he's shown were few and far between and could have been shown by any decent backup quarterback. It seems he only has one throw he can make anyway (some of the time!) and that's the jump ball to Plaxico Burress which is more Burress recieving skills than Eli's paltry quarterbacking.

Re: Man Oh Manning!

I saw the suggestion on another board but perhaps the Giants should look to bringing in an old veteran (like a Warner), even if he's nothing but a third stringer to be able to help Eli along.

I believe they tried that already...didn't work.

Cool Re: Man Oh Manning!

Bottom line: He has a good arm but his accuracy isn't for you know what.

That's pretty much the story about Eli. Still if I were the coach (you know his name) I wouldn't wait till the 4th quarter before putting Eli in a more aggressive offense which seems to be his strength. I mean you are stuck with him no matter what so why not use him to the best of his abilities. Kevin Gilbride is a disaster no matter where he goes. Buddy Ryan was right...give him an application for a life insurance salesman!!

Re: Man Oh Manning!

You may have a point there Trashed. Eli works so well in the no-huddle offense that it may pay off to start employing it earlier in the game.
