| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best I see Empire's post is a bit dated as Strahan will be out 2-4 weeks and that's an optimistic view. Well, Jason Taylor said that Grossman gets frazzled when he's hit and is a different quarterback so Umenyiora (please let him play) and Kiwanuka need to be physical. Honestly I see the Bears winning this game but I don't think it'll be easy. |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best This is from the NY Daily News as far as who we can expect to see suit up on Sunday for the Giants. "Burress, who missed Sunday's game with back spasms, said yesterday morning that he "felt great" and was certain he would play against Chicago. But a few hours later, his back tightened up again and he was unable to practice. He is listed as questionable - and he's not alone. The Giants, who have lost linebacker LaVar Arrington (Achilles) for the season, will definitely be without defensive end Michael Strahan (foot) and likely without defensive end Osi Umenyiora (doubtful, hip flexor). On top of that, defensive end Justin Tuck (foot), linebacker Brandon Short (quad), linebacker Carlos Emmons (groin) and fullback Jim Finn (probable, knee) were unable to practice. Cornerback Sam Madison (hamstring) and rookie receiver Sinorice Moss (quad) did practice, but they're listed as questionable, too. The return of Moss to the practice field was important, because at the moment the Giants' only healthy receivers are Tim Carter, Michael Jennings and David Tyree, who is only a week removed from his own knee and ankle issues. The Giants could activate rookie receiver Anthony Mix from the practice squad, but without Toomer and Burress, the receiving corps are neither imposing nor deep." |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best The Chicago Bears vs. the Giants second and third stringers? Not much of game that will be will it? If the Bears can stop Tiki (which they certainly can) all they have to worry about is Shockey who is not a deep threat anyway. Tyree is still hurt, Moss is...well always hurt, Tim Carter sucks and Micheal Jennings is good but still a rookie. So Eli has no one to toss to. The Giants are in trouble folks. |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best What's with all these injuries? Some I can excuse but weaklings like Umenyiora's and Burress' make me wanna hurl! The Bear game could be for home field and these guys should be on the damn field for it not on the sideline. I'd dock them pay until they start participating in the team's 2006 campaign. Burress already had a week off! Now he needs another one? If I were a teammate of his i'd put a bounty on him and when he was walking out on the field in practice clothes i'd see that a big defensive end like Kiwanuka bullrush his backside and let him leave in an ambulance. I mean if the guy is gonna whine about his back give him something REAL to complain about. Further if he takes another paid day off i'd cut him or better yet trade him for Travis Taylor. Imagine Randy Moss as a Giant. Eli loves big recievers and Moss loves to be the focus of attention...a match made in heaven! It's no good to pay players if they are gonna just get injured and not play. I'd have a big sign in the locker room...PLAY OR PAY!!! You watch how quick these "foot injuries, hamstring pulls and hip ticks" get cured!!! |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best Giants are leading 10-3 through the middle of the second quarter. The Giants had a big blow when Luke Pettigout left the game due to injury. X-Rays showed a broken fibula in one of his legs, and we assume he'll miss the rest of the season. The Giants are driving after Plaxico fumbled and then the Bears fumbled it back. |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best It is a testament to how bad Jay Feely is that the Bears put someone back there in the end zone on a 50 yard FG attempt. Feely kicked it as far as he could and it went 45 yards. Then it looked like a greyhound running against a pack of St. Bernards, as Hester returned the kick for the TD. And yet next draft day some "expert" will tell you that one of these fat slobs runs a 4.7 40 yard dash.

But there is a difference between track speed and football speed...I rather seem them measure speed after 50 reps with full gear... |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best The Giants aren't going anywhere with Eli Manning in this offensive system if there is an offensive system that can fit him. Maybe he is just plain bad or an average quarterback. Without Tiki Barber this team might have 2 wins. When Barber retires the Giant franchise will be destroyed. If you are expecting Eli Manning to be "the man" you will be sorely disappointed. The NFL is no longer the stuff of Aikman, Young, Elway and Marino. Out of all the franchises there are about 5 or six QBs that can be called great and when I say great aside from PEYTON Manning great in 2006 is nothing compared to great 1993. The NFL is turning into a bunch of Vince Youngs who really should be playing another sport like basketball or something. 1988-2005 that's it for me. Bring on spring training! |

| Re: Chicago Bears at New York Giants - NFC's Best Cmon now Trashed. Eli is fine but he has his bad games. He still makes some inaccurate throws but he's getting better. How soon you forget the games he's led the offense down the field in the 4th quarter to win games. He's going to be a great QB, he's just not there yet. |
