Today it was announced by the NFL that for the first time since being negotiated in the TV contracts, the flexible schedule issue will be used next month. Previously scheduled Chicago Bears at New York Giants on Sunday afternoon on November 12th (FOX) will now take place on Sunday evening on the same date on NBC.

Also, according to Yahoo!..."As part of the schedule shuffle, New Orleans' game at Pittsburgh will be moved from a 1 p.m. EST start to 4:15 on Fox."

It's a bit confusing but I think each network protects a certain amount of games late in the year and they can rearrange them to make sure they each get to air some games with playoff implications instead of something like Raiders/Cardinals.

this seems odd, does anyone know what game fox protected instead of this game. Cause this seems like one of the best games of the year.

if i understood it right cbs and fox gets to protect 1 game a week that nbc cant take,

nbc between week 10-16 must make their decision atleast 12 days in advanced, and for week 17 incase of playoff implications only 6 days...the article that the AP did has all the specifics
