| News on Giants Injuries Post-Falcons Win Here is news from BigBlueInteractive regarding all of the little injuries the Giants have encountered over the weekend. Thankfully, none appear to be too serious.
"Head Coach Tom Coughlin made the following comments regarding Giants injured against Atlanta during his Monday press conference: "We had just a couple of nicks. I don't think anything that will keep anybody from working. (S Jason) Bell got a slight concussion. That's why he didn't finish. I think (HB Brandon) Jacobs got a little bit of a stinger. He has a little bit of a stiff neck today, but that's about it.""
"SS Gibril Wilson (toe) missed the game against the Falcons. "It's a toenail that ripped right off," said Coughlin. "He had to have a couple of sutures…It's a very sore, very unusual injury, to have the toenail completely removed or come off with the guy just coming down on top of your foot. He is sore. Hopefully he'll be able to control that, but we'll see. I think it was more swelling than anything else, and the idea of infection. Hopefully we can get past that."
Regarding other Giants who missed the game, Coughlin said, "I think we're going to start to work (LB Carlos Emmons) back (into practice), yes. We're going to see how that goes. (JB Derrick) Ward continues to work his way back. (WR Sinorice) Moss continues to have more time. Last week he did have some individual time and that should be extended, I hope, this week." "
I'm just happy that Gibril Wilson isn't hurt with something like a fracture or anything. Hopefully he can heal up and get back on the field ASAP.
And Sinorice Moss should find his way into the active rotation moreso in the coming weeks once his hammy gets better.
And Carlos Emmons is still about two weeks away, recovering from a pectoral injury. |
