lol I don't think it really matters. Mike Ditka said earlier in the week that media should not be allowed in the locker room directly after the game is over because the players will be emotional and will say heated things (like Shockey did). I agree with the 'ol coach there.

Shockey said what he said in the heat of the moment after a brutal loss. Coughlin and he had a private discussion and I'm sure things are settled.

The ultimate goal is winning. If they win, there will be no problems.

The Giants do have something good coming to them after this season ends. No not a playoff spot but a top 5 draft pick! If you have seen the "defense" in the first 3 games barring divine intervention this team goes nowhere except in a class with the Jokeland Raiders and Tennessee Bite-ans!!! The 2006 NY Giants are DONE! DONE!! DONE!!! So abandon all hope of a winning team and wait till april.

Ditka hit it right on in this instance - its crazy to have reporters in the locker room so quickly after the game. With the intensity and emotion surrounding an NFL game, it should surprise no one that frustrations sometime boil over and sometimes that little switch that tells us when we're about to say something really stupid doesn't get flipped. Same thing whenever there's outrage about an athlete cursing or whatnot. Hey, media types, what do you expect when you don't give these guys a cooling off period before you start asking your asinine questions?

Shockey is all about Shockey and nothing else. What the hell has he ever done to merit anyone taking him seriously? Must be something about those tight ends from Miami, as Kellen Winslow is in the same mold.
