| Giants @ Eagles Week 2 Thread Three days away from one of the NFL's best rivalry games. For the Giants, Jeremy Shockey is probable because of his ankle. Chris Snee is questionable because of his ankle. Some say this is a must win for the Giants, not wanting to be two games behind the Eagles and one behind in the division so early in the year. It very well may be a must win game. The Giants will need to defend the pass to suceed because McNabb has seemingly rediscovered his weapons. Last week, the Giants only sacked Peyton Manning once and couldn't get stops on third downs. The Eagles will be playing without starting corner Lito Sheppard who will miss at least a month due to injury. Joselio Hansen will be playing the nickle role and expect the Giants to take advantage of him with either Sinorice Moss or Tim Carter. Here's a great in-depth preview by Big Blue Interactive |

| Re: Giants @ Eagles Week 2 Thread They got a lot of up and comers on that secondary Empire! Sheldon Brown was all over the Texans. However with monsters like Jeremiah Trottier the pressure will be on. One thing is sure Eli HAS to start making all the throws in the playbook. I wonder why that TD pass to Plax last sunday was threaded like a needle to where only Plax can catch it and yet no connections on simple hook and post patterns. This reminds me of a catcher in baseball who can throw a runner out at second with ease but for some reason cant throw the ball back to the mound. |

| Re: Giants @ Eagles Week 2 Thread The Giants injury report looks a bit something like this. Derrick Ward is out with a broken foot (and will be for awhile). Chris Snee has managed to work out by himself and practice since a few days ago and is questionable. He'll be a game-time decision. Jeremy Shockey (ankle), LaVar Arrington (knee) and Brandon Short (knee) are all probable and will play. Newsday (courtesty of the Giants Football Blog) asks what will happen, considering that the Giants comitted so many false start penalties in their own building. The Phillies home crowd will be a lot more hostile. Hopefully they all have their focus on. |

| Re: Giants @ Eagles Week 2 Thread Whoever that was who kicked Eli in the head to set up the game-tying field goal should be made an honorary Giant for life. I mean, that has got to be one of the dumbest plays I've ever seen. Not to mention - who left Shockey wide open on that play? Yeesh. Anywho, big win for the Giants. What a comeback that was.

| Re: Giants @ Eagles Week 2 Thread Those Giants penalities have to stop! Tim Carter was yanking on a guy's leg away from the play? I mean Coughlin is supposed to be a drill sargent yet comeback aside the Giants looked like a complete mess on that field today. The defense was clueless and once again, how tough can you be if you let your team get away with 10 penalties. A lot of them headshaking ones. If LJ Smith didnt drop that pass in OT than the Eagles most likely would have won. I know a win is a win but this is 2 weeks where the Giants looked totally undisciplined. Maybe the players arent listening to Coughlin. |

There's no doubt in my mind Feely couldn't kick a near-50 yarder. |
