| Chris Snee and Jeremy Shockey Updates Thanks to the Giant Football Blog for an update on G Chris Snee. He left Sunday nights game with an ankle injury and was seen wearing a protective boot. However, it appears not to be as serious as there is no ligament damage or a fracture. However, he is probably not going to play this Sunday in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Jeremy Shockey aggravated his ankle during the second half against the Colts but finished the game. He was noticeably limping and Coach Coughlin said he's "sore". Thanks to Big Blue Interactive for the news bit on Shockey. I would expect Shockey to be prepared to play on Sunday. And filling in for Snee should he miss the game will be Rich Seubert. |

| Re: Chris Snee and Jeremy Shockey Updates Would you want him to play like Randy Moss and take some plays off Goth? He gives 110% effort and the injuries are a problem but you dont want players not giving it their all. |

| Re: Chris Snee and Jeremy Shockey Updates I'm with you, trashed. I'd much rather see a guy giving everything he has on every play, like Shockey, and getting banged up here and there then a guy who runs out of bound to avoid a hit when he could gain 3-4 more yards. Toughness is a big deal.

| Re: Chris Snee and Jeremy Shockey Updates Shockey's problem is that while he is struggling for a couple extra feet, he is vulnerable to the guys that come late and can get that good shot at you. He needs to understand that he is needed on the field every game, and that those two extra inches are getting his clock cleaned.

| Re: Chris Snee and Jeremy Shockey Updates But that's the way he plays legend. Like everyone is saying he's one tough SOB! He has improved as the years go on and his blocking as well as his recieving is essential to the Giant's offense. He's had at least 2 concussions that I remember and he goes full blast injured or not. Now what you say is true of course but if youre on the field and actually playing its hard to think about that vulnerabillity to "clock cleaners"....especially if your Jeremy Shockey it looks like. He's got a big mouth but his onfield effort is an inspiration. |
