Since taking over the starting job for the New York Giants in 2004, Eli Manning has made 82 straight starts for the third-longest streak among active quarterbacks.

While than run is in jeopardy, it's unclear if it will hamper the heavily-favored Giants this week when they finally play another home game Sunday as their top-ranked defense will match up against the hapless Oakland Raiders and their league-worst offense.

Manning was held out of practice Wednesday so he can get treatment on his plantar fascia, a band of connective tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot and inserts into the heel.

The former Super Bowl MVP aggravated the injury in last Sunday's 27-16 win at Kansas City and literally had to hop because it so was intense. He's not guaranteeing he will be under center for New York (4-0) this weekend in its first home game since the season opener.

On paper, the NY Giants should blow the Raiders out of the stadium. Manning may not play and hear this is a game time decision. Does this really matter? Raiders are that bad and getting worse. I heard a recent rumor from my friend in Missouri that head coach of the Raiders may be going to jail. Nothing seems to chance with Al Davis run teams. Does anybody give the Raiders a shot in this one?

I would so badly like to pick the Raiders in this one for my friend Full Cougar, but I cant. Not a chance.
No matter whether Manning is in or not, Giants walk away with this one.

Raiders Darren McFadden got all of -2 yards rushing last week on 6 carries...and fumbled 3 times the week before...what happened to this guy?...and why is he still on my fantasy team???

And who is a bigger bust McFadden or JaMarcus?

Maybe the can opt out the rest of the season and move over to the UFL

The spread for this game is 16.5 points. That is ridiculous for an NFL game. I havent seen a spread that big since...ever. It was almost hard for me to pick the Giants.
