EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Pro Bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey did not practice with the New York Giants on Friday because of an ankle injury.

Coach Tom Coughlin did not mention to reporters that Shockey had failed to practice. However, the team's injury report had him listed as not practicing.

The report listed Shockey as probable for Sunday's season opener at Giants Stadium against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Rich Eisen, Shockey's ankle was sore and didn't practice. He'll play.

Sinorice Moss is still a game-time decision.

I love Shockey and I know he's tough and plays hurt a lot but that means he's hurt A LOT!!! The shock of Shockey would be for me that he's 100% healthy at the start of the season and plays 16 games. I respect the hell out of him but damn! The guy is an orthopedist's nightmare!!!
