Giants Want Fans Loud

The official Giants site highlights a quote made by head coach Tom Coughlin, trying to get fans who will be at Giants Stadium for home games to get loud.

Giants season ticket holders are known for being rather old because they're passed down from generation to generation. This has caused home games to lack a real home field advantage in recent years as the stadium is pretty quiet for the most part.

"Coach Tom Coughlin took time to salute the Giants fans, who he called “the 12th man," and called upon them to raise the volume when opposing offenses have the ball. “What I would like,” Coughlin said, "is that our stadium become the most difficult place in the world to play the New York Giants. Our goal as always is to make all New Yorkers proud to be New York Giants.” Coughlin's counting on those fans to give Big Blue a real home-field advantage"

For the Giants sake, let's hope that starts Sunday night.

Cool Re: Giants Want Fans Loud

I can't stand when coaches and players tell the fans what to do... "They shouldn't boo..." "There not making enough noise" ...Blah, Blah Blah... I especially hate when I see a COACH waving a towel on the sideline. Coughlin's done it before. (A player waving a towel I can live with but not the coach). Just shut up and coach and the fans will take care of themselves.

Re: Giants Want Fans Loud

I think Coach Coughlin is simply trying to get the fans excited for the 2006 season and as well they should...this is a very talented Giants team and they have a tough schedule. Its gonna be a hell of a ride so fans, make some noise!!!
