Plaxico Burress has agreed to a two year jail sentence after bringing a gun into a nightclub and shooting himself. The NFL has stated they will reinstate him after his sentence.



It is hard to say his career is over. However I want to focus on a different point-

Donte Stallworth killed a man while driving drunk, he recieved 24 days of a 30 day sentence.

Michael Vick served 23 months in for dog fighting.

Plaxico Burress harms himself, and gets more than both of those other two. Is that fair?

I don't know why? Two years in prison for bringing a gun into a club and then shooting yourself. Thats very embarresing, tbh. I don't know what I think about the NFL. I'm about ready to the race card. I'm waiting for Ben Roethlisberger before I point fingers. Call me immature, but that will be how I think of the NFL afterwards. No rascism, just curiosity at a all time high.

I don't think it was fair at all. Kinda sad that one gets 2 years for shooting himself and the other one got 30 days for killing someone.

Circumstances in both cases were very different. The NYC gun laws are very strict and now are enforced under Bloomberg.

With that being said it was proven that the gentleman killed by Stallworth ran into the street from behind a palm tree and it would have been almost impossible for Stallworth to react in time even if he wasn't under the influence. A traffic camera captured the poor guy running into the street and that is what saved Donte.

Doesn't change the fact that he was driving under the influence. Still should have done more than 30 days.

Driving drunk on its own should be about that long of a sentence.
