In a move that was not unexpected, the New Orleans Saints released running back Deuce McAllister.
In his 8 years with the Saints he ran for 6096 yard with 1429 carries.
Deuce thinks he can still play after he heals from his latest surgery.
This is a sad day for Saints' fans.

What are they doing.
Do they really think Bush and Thomas is all they need.
if deuce lands on another team and does very good and bush looks the same year after year and thomas doesn't look good like the previous season, then what will the saints do then.

Heck they release the kicker, why not get rid of Shockey too, but not Deuce.
For the past few years i always looked at the Saints as a Question Mark (?)(like maybe next year and such), but not anymore.

This Team is certainly not going anywhere for a long time.

Beg to differ with you. This team had one of the best offenses in the league last year. It was their defense that held them back. They have now got a new defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams.
Deuce McAllister isnt going to do very good anywhere anymore.

You said one of the best offense, then what do you have when you let deuce go.
Pierre Thomas is going to step-up a notch with Bush on the Run and Pass play, i don't think so.

Deuce is not Shaun Alexander, Alexander is done but not deuce, and without Deuce there are no 3rd and short run surprise,that will put the pressure on Brees.
If they were worried about the cap, they should release Shockey instead.
Just watch and see.
