Reggie Bush out shines Vince Young

Well, I think the first meeting between Reggie Bush and Vince Young went the way of Reggie, who had a good opener...NFL - New Orleans Saints/Tennessee Titans Recap Saturday August 12, 2006 - Yahoo! Sports

On his second carry, the Heisman Trophy winner was stopped behind the line while going to his left, but bounced out, turned right and zoomed past two Titans up the sideline for 44 yards to the Tennessee 24. He finished with 59 yards on six carries.

Looks like Bush was worthy of the high pick...anyone one feel Reggie will be the better of the two over the long haul?

Yeah, he's the real deal alright. And Deuce McAllister's injury healed by the second quarter, I'm guessing. Bush may well make a case that he should be the Saints #1 tailback before the preseason's all said and done.

Up here in Milwaukee there is a buzz on the Fantasy Football side of things for Reggie...he is rising on the charts...So, how high would you take him Lefty?

Eh, not too high, but I guess I'm too conservative for my own good. I like taking guys who are proven vets and who are all but guaranteed to get the lion's share of the carries for their team. Bush had a good game, but I'm not 100% convinced he will the the #1 tailback for the Saints just yet.

I hear you, but he is going to get touches as a receiver and I do not see him doing worst then say Brain Westbrook...

Re: Reggie Bush out shines Vince Young

If I had a high draft pick in a fantasy football league, I would consider drafting Larry Johnson or LaDanian Tomlinson before I think about Reggie Bush. It is always safer to go with veterans instead of rookies who are gambles. Ever since Ryan Leaf, I can never believe people when they say a rookie is going to be amazing in the NFL.
