2006 NO Saints

Nice writeup of the 2006 NO Saints prospects by The Sports Guru. He picks the Saints as finishing 4th in the NFC South with a prediction of a 6-10 record.

I tend to agree with his assessment. The 2006 NO Saints are loaded with talent on offense but the defense is really suspect. Reggie Bush *should* make a splash and excite the fans (and the team). Although they shouldn't have much trouble being pumped up with all that happened to them & the SuperDome last year from Hurrican Katrina.

Cool Re: 2006 NO Saints

Welcome to GoTeamsGo SportsGuru. I think the Saints will be at least a .500 this year. Breeze and Bush makes their offense scary. And the fact that Haslett is gone is a plus.

Re: 2006 NO Saints

Welcome, Guru

Do you think that the dismissal of Michael Bennett will make much of a difference? The offense was a little crowded so it makes sense to drop somebody.

Make more a difference for K.C. than the Saints, fixing what could have become a problem in the locker room.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I appreciate it!!

Welcome aboard Guru...As much as I think the Saints aren't going any where this year, I'd be hard press to think they will really close out 2-7 over the last 9 games...

Re: 2006 NO Saints

I can see your point. When I was looking at it I saw alot of road games againse tough inter-division opponents that will probably be fighting for a playoff position/seeding. @Tampa, @Pittsburgh, @Atlanta, @Dallas, @NY Giants...That's a tough stretch. Mix in a home against Cincinnati and I don't see a win there.

Early in the year I think the emotion of the home games is going to get them through, but after Week 9 or so the cream is going to rise, and Reggie Bush is going to hit a slight wall....

We shall see.
