According to this story, Brees threw 40 passes on the last day of Saints mini-camp, but wasn't throwing very hard. He's still a question mark for opening day. McAllister, meanwhile, is returning from a pretty serious knee injury. He said that he felt "good as far as making cuts, making moves and seeing things" but added that his body wasn't able to take advantage of all the openings he saw just yet. These two need to be ready to go for the Saints to make any noise this year, right?

Saints are a few years away from making noise...I think this year will jsut give an indication of where the franchise is headed to close out the decade... I see them going 8-8 or at best 9-7.

I was saying 8-8 with Brees and McAllister...this team is not ready...not this year...In a few years they might build a team around Brees...

Sorry my mistake. .500 with Brees and Deuce sounds about right but it doesnt sound like thats gonna happen due to their injuries. Need some defense in a bad way.
